Refund policy
Payments are processed by Polar as merchant of record, so refunds are issued by Polar to your original payment method. This policy says when we will ask Polar to refund you. We would rather fix a problem than argue about one, so if something is wrong, tell us.
On this page
- First payment, 14 days. If you cancel within 14 days of your first subscription payment and have not used Autopilot to apply changes, we refund that payment in full. Just ask.
- Renewals. Renewal payments are not refunded, because you had the whole previous period to cancel and we remind you by email before an annual renewal. If you forgot and have not used the service since the renewal, email us within 7 days and we will usually refund as a goodwill gesture.
- Annual plans can be refunded pro rata for whole unused months if we remove a feature you were paying for, or if we cannot provide the service.
- Downgrades are not refunded; the lower price applies from the next period.
- Add-ons follow the plan they are attached to.
The report is a digital product delivered within minutes, so it is non-refundable once delivered, except where the audit could not run (for example the site blocked us) or the report is clearly broken. If you subscribe to any plan within 14 days of buying a report, the $49 is credited to your first payment.
The 7-day Pro trial needs no card and never charges you, so there is nothing to refund. When it ends you move to Free automatically.
If WebValet is down for more than 24 hours in a month, or Autopilot applies a change you did not approve, you can ask for a refund of that month regardless of the rules above.
- Email hello@webvalet.app from your account email with the word "refund" and the reason.
- We reply within 2 business days.
- Approved refunds are issued through Polar and usually reach your card within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
Chargebacks cost everyone time; please contact us first. Consumer rights that cannot be excluded by the law where you live are not affected by this policy.
